Our forummember Raquel found an interesting new article, in which Nat is rumoured to play in a new movie. She would play the Rachel in the new Robert Pattinson movie “Bel Ami“.

There has been lots of HBP Promotion recently, including several new photos of Tonks’ (only one more month till it hits theatres, premiering in Tokyo July 6th)!
1235353479|Nataliatena|Othello reviews, photo update|The other characters are clear-cut and engaging also, with Natalia Tena bringing out all the strength and character possible with the difficult part of the nauseatingly perfect Desdemona {Whatsonstage }.
Natalie Tena as Desdemona is elegantly charming, and though perhaps not evoking the depth of pity for which I’d packed the tissues was not the irritant this too-perfect female can sometimes seem {musicomh }.
Natalia Tena, an RSC debutant, as an athletic, vocally impoverished Desdemona…Tena sings well enough, but can’t speak verse. That’s not viewed as a handicap at the RSC these days, and she compensates by dancing topless on her honeymoon in Cyprus and striking balletic poses in the fatal bedroom, where she is visited on billowing clouds of sheets in dreamland by her father, Brabantio (Hannes Flaschberger; bad verse speaking obviously runs in the family){The Independent}.
Othello’s new wife Desdemona (Natalia Tena) is overtly moresexual than I had believed her to be, and her feisty nature meant she appeared less submissive than in other adaptations of the play. In one particularly aesthetic scene, she is seen dancing with Othello topless before they go to bed {Docklands24}.

Natalia Tena tells Katherine MacAlister she’s looking forward to a break from acting to enjoy gigs with her band.
NATALIA Tena is as mad as her film characters would have you expect.
Dishevelled, manic, chatty, down-beat, chaotic and charming, this 24 year-old is blase about her recent film successes in blockbusters such as Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (she plays Nymphadora Tonks, above and About A Boy (punk schoolgirl, top).
In fact she’d like you to believe that she’s only a star by accident and downplays her entire acting career to date.
“Well I’ve only played small parts in films, which means you spend most of your time just hanging around in trailers, and I can’t deal with waiting around. I like to be out and about and doing stuff,” she says.
“And anyway, I was only working for about two or three weeks on About A Boy. And I know Hugh Grant was the lead, but we were never playing opposite each other or anything.”
Mention Harry Potter and you get the same response.
Natalia wasn’t into JK Rowling’s books when she went for the audition, fell over the table on stage and clinched the part of the clumsy character Tonks, so the legend goes.
“No, I wasn’t into the whole Harry Potter thing when I got the part, but I did fancy being a witch,” she admits.
“So I thought I’d better read the book for the audition and then I got it and got what all the fuss was about and now I’m really into it.”
But mention her boyfriend, or her band Molotov Jukebox, and you’ve got Natalia’s full attention. So what comes first then, the acting or the music?
“Oh, the acting just happened,“ she says casually, “but the music – I mean Elvis Presley was my idol aged five and I played the violin and piano from a really young age. I even chose my school (Bedales) because it had a really good reputation for art, and I wanted to be an artist as welI. I just wish I had more time.”
But then it’s hardly surprising Natalia’s finding it hard to pack everything into her already hectic life.
Currently playing Desdemona in a sold-out Othello at the Oxford Playhouse from Tuesday, she’s “in the next Harry Potter”, and looking forward to having some time off to write some tunes and devote herself to Molotov Jukebox.
“Yeah, they’re waiting for me to finish in Othello and then we can get down to writing some more songs and get more involved in the band this summer.
“I play the accordian, sing and write the songs. And my boyfriend – he’s just amazing, and he plays the violin and writes the songs as well,” she says.
“We have a bass guitarist and a drummer. Actually, we’re doing a gig this Sunday, just a little chilled one for the Saturday night left-over crowd,” she says.
“But we’ve gigged in Camden and Brighton – wherever we can really.”
“We did loads over the summer and then I got this play in December,” she adds wistfully, sounding as if she’s had to go back to school.
“I will always do music whenever I can because I love it. I will never stop doing it.
“But acting just happened, although it’s never come to the point where the two have conflicted. And the band is separate and it’s always been separate.”
But don’t be fooled, because Natalia didn’t get where she is by chance.
Underneath this tough-girl persona is a determined and focused actress who had an agent when she was still at school and personally decided to finish her education.
“I told my agent that unless I got a lead part I would stay at school,” she admits, “and now I am getting to the point where I can choose my parts a bit more.”
So is Tonks in all the future Harry Potter films?
“Well, I’m in the sixth one. And I haven’t heard about the seventh one yet, although Tonks features a lot in the book, but that doesn’t always translate to the film.”
Even Natalia can’t ignore what a huge global phenomena Harry Potter is.
“I’m not very good at dealing with stuff like that, so I just carry my fan mail round with me in a big bag meaning to answer it but never getting round to it,” she laughs, “but now I only reply to them if they send an SAE, because it actually gets quite expensive after a while.”
The Harry Potter global enterprise also sent Natalia to Miami to promote the film, because, having two Spanish parents, she is fluent in both languages.
“I went to Miami and stayed in one of those amazing hotels,” she recalls.
“It was mad. Like crossing MTV with this crazy Latino thing. I loved it, it’s a mental place and it was so much fun.”
Othello seems less so. Natalia says that after each performance, she’s “exhausted because it’s sad, you know, so I’m not just physically exhausted. It’s a weird one.”
But, luckily, she loves Oxford and is really looking forward to her week here. “I’ve done two or three plays at the Playhouse and I love it there. My friend lives there too, so yes, it’ll be a fun week.”

1234085013|beth29|Othello; My Take|I was lucky enough to go and see Othello yesterday (Saturday 7th February) at Warwick Arts Centre and I promised everyone a write-up so here it is;
The play started with the whole cast singing a hymn in chorus, then Patrice Naiambana as Othello and Natalia as Desdemona broke away from the rest of the cast. Othello begins to chant in his native language and Desdemona sings back…in Italian. Now hearing Nat sing on the internet is one thing, but live is another and she is an AMAZING singer 
Then there was the main chunk of the play which was all superbly acted. Natalia got to show off her acting skills with her faultless long Shakespearian lines, some brilliant on-stage weeping and a brilliantly choreographed death scene.
In this time Nat also managed some more singing, awesome dancing (Yes everyone, our Nat IS a triple threat!) and she also got through plenty of stunning 50s outfits including a beautiful red dress, a long flowing pink one and at one point, in typical ‘Nat’ fashion, nothing but a pair of French knickers and Othello’s hat… :tongue:
I had a truly fantastic time, the whole performance was amazing and the whole cast deserve many congratulations on such a good show. Unfortunately I did not get live pictures because I believe photos were prohibited, but I have scanned two new production stills out of my program (Nat is at the back on the left in the group still);
Edit: The RSC website have now added new production stills, I have added them to the gallery. That is the pink dress I mentioned in my review!

The Molotov Jokebox are in the studio making their first single with Mi7 Records! With Nat going on tour with the RSC, we have the perfect opportunity to get cracking on all the parts for the many records to come (Excluding Nats Vocals and of course the Accordian).
First on the list is ‘Double Dare’ backed with a mischievous Circus Tune and if you’re lucky, a nice, dirty Remix should follow. (wub).
Expect the tracks to be up on myspace in the coming months.

We all had to lean closer as Natalia Tena spent a few seconds whispering in imitation of David Yates, making the others laugh in agreement. “He is awesome. He’s so soft spoken. You don’t even know how he gets stuff done. Most other directors, like in theatre, are like, ‘Lights! What are you doing? Get him to do that!’” yells Natalia, and then bursts into laughter.

It is quite surreal when you meet someone you have admired for their work, whether it be a performer or artist of any kind. Seeing their face on your tele is very different than when it is up close and personal. It is a swirl of anxiety mixed in with a rush of excitement, all stirred inside you with a bizarre feeling of numbness.
You become uncertain about what your initial reaction might be. Not sure if you will faint, burst in flames like Fawkes (Dumbledore’s loyal phoenix), or be as skeptical as Cornelius Fudge. Then it happens, they open their mouths to say hello and it hits you very quickly. They are no different from you and me. They are very talented and well-known, but people, nonetheless.
Four amazing actors that have breathed life into the enchanting characters of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter novels spent May 23-25 at the Hyatt Regency in Weston, FL, sharing their experiences of the films and their personal lives with all those in attendance.
Natalia Tena, or Tonks, from Order of the Phoenix; Devon Murray or Seamus Finnigan, the accident-prone and unluckiest of wizards; Danielle Tabor, who was Angelina Johnson in the first three films; and Hugh Mitchell, our Harry-obsessed Hogwart’s photographer, Colin Creevey.
Lucky enough to get an exclusive interview, ACED brings you Howlers in very big packages. Our Harry Potter guests were more than welcoming when asked questions about their experiences.
To sum up the personalities that will be evident in the interview, I will say:
Natalia is very passionate when she talks, and full of enthusiasm. It was a great listen because she’s so animated — well they all are — it felt like I was being told a story. Devon is very sweet, mature, and much of a gentlemen; he looks you in the eyes and shakes your hands to say “hi”. Danielle is a very nice, proper and professional young lady. She wasn’t afraid to share the humorous moments that occurred on set. Hugh is more reserved than the others, but he opens up when you ask him the right questions. He interjected his opinions when he felt most eager about something, and it helped the others remember other memorable moments as well!
Brace yourself for a very long, but intriguing, look into the lives of some of the most enthralling characters. Foremost, there was a strong curiosity as to why they come to these comic conventions in the first place. Hugh cheerfully summed it up as he laughed and said, “We were asked, so we just came!” The rest agreed.
Could it possibly be the wonderful world of comics, graphic novels and video games? The reason so many others save money for the sake of spending it all on animation. Here, Natalia expressed her strong opinions as she took charge and shocked some of us. “Graphic novels I love. I love graphic novels. I got a whole lot. I love Alan Moore. He’s just a God. Prometheus is amazing. And his new one, Lost Girl, it’s like erotic. He did it with his partner, so cool. I love graphic novels. I love ‘em! But video games, I think…personally I think they’re evil.”
“Really?” Devon says curiously, before I could interject.
“Because I think they stop you from actually living in the world that we’re meant to live in. Why play tennis…like on a game, when you can go play it and get fit?” explains Natalia.
“Even if you’ve never played tennis?” Hugh inquires.
“No, I don’t because human beings need stories to pass on. If you want to learn how to shoot, go learn to shoot. Join the army. Do you know what I mean? I don’t get that,” retorts Natalia.
Naturally, computers should fall somewhere in there because people have become very attached to them. Natalia disagrees, “Hmmm… No, that’s a tool. That’s to get information.”
“Yeah,” Danielle says in agreement.
Hugh interrupts and emphasizes that, “Checking your emails is just a way of being sociable. You know when people say, ‘You spend all your time all online.’ But yeah, that’s just a different way of having a social life.”
Communication is a big key for every aspect in our lives, including work. So they spoke about how different the directors are from each other, and how it was working with them. In regards to David Yates, director of Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince, all of their comments were wholehearted and kind.

Devon adds, “He’s just more laid back than all the other directors. Besides Alfonso Cuarón (Prisoner of Azkaban), he was just real hip. He was like ‘Go on, yeah. Do it. Do it.’ Whereas, Dave… he would ask [everyone] on the set: What is your input, what do you want to happen in the scene? Like, if you would say to him, ‘Well, if I was to do this and he was to do that,’ he’ll film that and then he’ll try it his way. So it’s nice to have your own input into the movie as well.”
Natalia continues, “Yeah of all the male directors, he’s pretty cool. But in theatre, I’ve only ever worked with females. All women, in all of the shows I’ve done. And that’s a different thing.” In terms of flexibility in theatre, she believes, “There’s so much money and technical stuff, I think you can’t play as much.”
Keeping in mind that Danielle Tabor only worked on the first three films, she described her experiences on working mainly with Columbus.
“The first three [were] wicked. Like the first one, I was fifteen. I had no idea what was going on whatsoever, I was like, ‘Ah heh…Cool!’ And I was in school, so it was random. By the second and third one, I was really into it and everything. But with Chris Columbus, I thought it was like wicked stuff.”
Hugh carries on, “He made me feel more relaxed about it. I mean, I was twelve years-old, and you know, I had done nothing [before]. I was walking out to the Great Hall and seeing people — I have never done anything like it. I would have been definitely crapping myself. Chris Columbus was awesome. And he just makes you feel very relaxed and he drives you to such a point as well, but not in a bad way. I remember I was doing a scene and doing it over and over again and he was like shouting, ‘You’re insane! Remember you are insane!’ I was like, he’s absolutely crazy.”
Devon sums it up, “He kind of treats us like one of his own children as well. He makes you feel like you can get away with everything, really. I think he was like the biggest child. The basketball courts thrown in. All the game rooms and everything in the studio.”
“Yeah, exactly!” Danielle and Hugh in unison.
It was definitely a memorable experience for them; you could see it in their smiling eyes. It was a truly heartfelt moment about the positive experiences of working with Columbus at an early age, and in the beginning stages of their acting careers. Such a great start on such a huge platform, who could ask for more?
For Hugh, he loved working on all the scenes he was in, but some of the memorable ones included “the scene of walking into the Great Hall surrounded by other people dressed in Harry Potter gear, the scene with the owls, and the Howler.”
“I remember the scene with the owl that flew into the fire cauldron,” Danielle excitedly exclaims.
“Oh yeah, and it caught fire! I remember that briefly,” Hugh cuts her off. This really happened, they were talking about a real owl!
“Yeah, I felt really bad, but it was kind of funny,” Danielle admits guiltily. Everyone laughed hysterically. Thankfully, the owl was alright after that, but he retired from his “Harry Potter” career.
More importantly, the conversation swiftly took a turn toward the sixth installment, Half-Blood Prince, because I’m sure fans all have their hearts beating a little too fast with anticipation.
Natalia is a bit more blunt about her opinions than the others, and she’s not ashamed about it. I think this is a rare trait that so many of us lose to remain neutral and prevent controversy. It is one that can either gain us respect or lose it entirely. It always depends on the listener though.
“The script was so different from the book. I think that a lot of Harry Potter fans are going to be a bit pissed off about it, and that’s my own opinion. I think it is so different from the book. Like so different. So many elements of it. I think the book is supposed to be about how the two worlds (Muggle and Wizarding) are now being affected by this dark force. Like the beginning of the book, you see the Prime Minister and you get a sense of that forecast. All this stuff was taken out, and I think it’s a shame. I personally would’ve liked to see that.”
Devon partly defends the film but gives his opinion of what he would have liked to see in the fourth film, The Goblet of Fire. “They were going to have to cut it so as to not make it longer (in regards to HBP)….Like in the fourth movie, I think where they had the Quidditch World Cup, it was like only two or three seconds.”
“But in the book it is quite long,” Danielle affirms.
“But that was a really, really big theme. And yeah, that would have been a really good theme, but think about how long that would have made the film,” Devon reasons.
Really, it all comes down to the Harry Potter fans seeing the sixth installment and deciding for themselves. The wait for it has been unnerving, and with this news, even more so.
We can expect to see more romance and a lot more kissing scenes in HBP. Devon enlightens us with just a few hints of what is expected. “Yeah, there is still a lot of kissing scenes in the sixth movie. So far, we have been able to see quite a few of them. They are pretty cool and really, really good.” What a tease!
Everyone laughed, admiring his surprising response. “I don’t kiss anybody. I don’t kiss anybody though! But now, we are ripping the piss out of everyone who was kissing. So it’s been pretty cool.”
Another tidbit he gives is that the death scene that awaits us all at the end of the film is a “really good scene with lots of people crying.”
A nice conclusion to our conversation had to include a question about whether, if they could, choose another sinister character and join Voldemort.
“I would definitely play Helena Bonham Carter’s part! Bellatrix Lestrange!” Natalia declares enthusiastically.
As soon as Devon insists on Draco Malfoy, Danielle and Hugh agree completely.
“He’s such a bastard that you want to be him,” Hugh insists.
“Exactly that! And he gets all the women as well,” Devon agrees.
“Yeah, he’s cool, you still like him even though he’s mean,” Danielle emphasizes.
It would be somewhat difficult for you to feel intimidated by Danielle, Hugh, Devon and Natalia, because they are so genuinely laid back and sincere; they unintentionally reflect this encouraging attitude onto you. The entire time, the atmosphere was very cheerful and comfortable. Personally, I believe the best of luck is in order for their future endeavors. And of course, we will be bringing even more HBP goodness soon enough!

EDIT: The screenplay was awarded best screenplay at the Orlando Hispanic Film Festival, and they are hoping to create it into a franchise with prequels and sequels, so this would be a giant leap for Natalia in the filmography world :laughing:! And of course we know she has shown huge interest in doing a film in her native country of Spain, and speaks fluent Spanish! Natalia is also the first choice of the producers :laughing::
“She would be perfect because she’s British but her parents are Spanish”…”We are hoping to shoot the film this year in either Lithuania or Malta with a couple of weeks in Zaragoza on location,” adds Montalvo. “But we’ve been told Radcliffe is not available until 2010 so we might have to wait. Hopefully if Tena says yes, he’ll want to take on the role as well.
Although this is extremely exciting news, we must consider it as nothing more than a rumour for the time being. Natalia is facing some stiff competition, although she is first choice, big names like Ellen Page and Natalie Portman have also been considered, but of course nobody would be as perfect as Natalia so lets keep our fingers crossed that she agrees!

1221743517|Nataliatena|Lezione 21 Release pushed back|According to IMDB, Lezione 21 has been pushed back to opening in Italy until the 10th of October, 2008. So I guess it did not release earlier in September as thought earlier.
Here’s a review from Variety:
In trying to argue the symphony was overrated, the helmer cherry-picks the elements he wants and discards the rest. Never mind the Ninth’s revolutionary elements, or the extraordinary body of work Beethoven composed in the 10 years leading up to 1824. Also questionable is the film’s damning portrait of old age.
The pic often appears to be pitched to children, especially in the overly deliberate way characters speak — some of the dialogue feels lifted from a poorly transcribed crib sheet of Tom Stoppard’s “Arcadia.” However, artificially inserted swear words and pointless nudity preclude the younger set.
Visuals are kept deliberately theatrical, which can be striking in some scenes and simply overlit in others. Perhaps especially disappointing is the poor use of music; for real insight, auds would be better off listening to a recording of Leonard Bernstein’s Young People’s Concerts. {Variety: Locarno, Lecture 21}

Thanks to a few tips from Em-J and Beth, we now know that Natalia is no longer in that band, and the group is now called Nat Jenkins and the Sweet Regrets. Sources say there was a bit of a fall out because of Nat T’s busy acting career.

Natalia talks in Spanish, and as far as I can see, she says how she believed, until she was 6, that 3 witches brougth her to her parents and when she was 18 her mother gave her a witch broomstick for her bithday.
Then she talks about how her broom (she really loves that broom!) in the HP film looks just like tonks, with lilac shades.
She also tells how her face (but not her body) changes in the film, she had to spend two hours in the studio doing the animal sounds and funny faces but it seems she had a very good time… Thanks Lida! Anyone have anymore translations?

Also, if you haven’t heard, we won’t be seeing Nat anytime soon as Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince release date has been pushed back to nearly a year from now - July 17, 2009. The WB’s excuse is blamed on the writer’s strike, but it’s obvious to me their scared of releasing it around the same time as Twilight, a new book/movie series that is beginning to rival Potter (but with no character as cool as Tonks)!!

She is one of the actresses emerging in the theatre and cinema in London and perhaps this enigmatic gaze has been one of the weapons with which Natalia Tena, who was born in London 23 years ago, but with roots in hornachegas, has captivated both critics, and the public.
Her fantastic interpretation in the film ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’ was vital if the new director should have it in the new film, which will premiere in November. The sixth instalment is expected to reach Spanish screens towards Christmas and will be called ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’.
For now, she is totally forbidden to talk about her involvement in this film because of a setback with the producer, when she made a statement in Miami where she unveiled some secrets of the new delivery, insurance, Barros at the ticket office half a world.
Natalia comes to the appointment with TODAY along with her aunt and although the film did not fall into her plans, she says “Since I was very little I was attracted toeverything related to creativity, in all aspects, painting, music, dance. ” Her passage to film was through a school, where the scene was a fundamental part of the teaching method, she channelled to this way of life in the hopes that she would “soon become the protagonist of a film.”
Despite his youth, she has already shared the screen with actors like Hugh Grant or Jacqueline Bisset, and would not mind working with Pedro Almodovar and Julio Medem.
Though brief, her brilliant role as the witch, Nymphadora Tonks, in the fifth Harry Potter, has not gone unnoticed.
Harry Potter was not at all part of her plans. She hadn’t read any of the books, or seen any of the films. It was her agent who, at the end of 2005, called her to make a screen test that she thought was “fatal, not because I learned my part. I managed the role by sheer luck, perhaps because I seemed quite similar to Tonks.
At present Natalia acts on the streets of London while awaiting further work, in September, caring for children and combining work with her promising career as an actress.
Would you like to participate in any movie where she gave life to a cartoon character, because you love reading stories and looks fantastic “as one of those characters out of these books.”
Despite living in London, I love living in the towns of Extremadura, its people.
Natalia Tena believes that the people their “are much more cheerful, and take life with another philosophy.” Whenever she can, visiting Hornachos to soak her roots and to live in a culture very different from that found in the UK.

Christina: To start off, Nat is a bad ass. Totally BA. I was at the live PotterCast on Friday and I’ve never laughed more. With her accidentally dropping an eff bomb to her being lied to by Devon Murray (Seamus) to believe anime was porn, I love how free-spirited she is and have so much more respect for Nat now.
I won’t go into details about all we talked about (because it was a lot)- everything ranging from sports journalism to how she used to study psychology like I am to getting a band together to play at a festival in Romania (I believe?). And a scary airplane and passport encounter on the way to Miami. As well as them bringing the bad weather…
Anyways, the two photos with my friend and I, we asked if we could get a proper photo with her and she totally jumped on the table and over for the shots.

They introduce her, “And here she is, the actress who plays Tonks, Natalia Tena!” and throw open the doors…to reveal her making out heavily with this guy against the wall. The con guy who opened the door was like “Gaaah!” and swung it shut. A minute later she like stumbles in, soaking wet and like completely disoriented. Holygod so funny. She gets up on the stage, sits down, and is like, “So what do I do? Just fuckin’ talk?” and told us the guy she was making out with was named Adam (I think), wasn’t he hot, and he flew down from Boston, and that she just ate fried chicken and was swimming, and is hungover and confused. But it was in the most rambling, incoherantly clumsy, disheveled, adorable, likeable hippie way. She seriously is Nymphadora Tonks! She was asked about Tonks and Lupin, and was like “I bet the sex is GREAT!” She said that in the next movie they have “all these yearning looks. Would they hold hands? No, I don’t think they would hold hands, they’d just be near each other and be cool, and then run off to have naughty sex.” In a bout of crazy animated, mile a minute rambling she revealed that there will be no funeral scene in the next movie, at which she then went, “FUCK! SHIT! I’m not allowed to tell you that! Oh, fucking hell man. Shit.” I’m pretty sure she was seriously a bit upset. She talked joyfully about her theater career and her favorite company that she’s worked for, doing a show that she did solely because it involved her wearing nipple tassles, (”like, crazy pink ones, man”) and playing the accordian while on a trapeze. Someone asked her about her newest film, said they’d seen the trailer and she was like, “What? Oh yeah, that.” and definately could not remember the name of the film, and the fan asked what it was about and Natalia was like, “Fuck, you tell me, man! I’m like a fire-person in it, I don’t know. Like a fire fairy and then a coke addict in real life or something. I have no idea, man. I only did it cuz they were like “Nat, do you want to be on fire and ice skate in Italy?” and I was like yeah!” SHE IS SO INSANE. She talked about how she likes to be naked, how she never sees Daniel Radcliffe, and is never starstruck because “everyone eats, pisses, shits, and DIES.” So funny, genuine, enjoyable and hilarious. Apparently, she only got the part because she came into the audition drunk, and sweaty from having ridden her bike there from the show she was doing, and tripped over a chair, and because she told the director, “I haven’t read anything about this, but I’ve heard she changes her hair, an’ I do that all the time!” Kyle liked her because she talked about drinking, smoking, Tom Waits, and David Thewlis. Also, she personally tried to get Kyle hooked on some band by telling him the artist was like “sex in a cd, man.” She also said she “felt like such a twat” all through filming because she’d be holding the wand and yelling things at nothing, and obviously nothing was happening.
She was out of her mind. And vulgar. But she was also beautiful, kind of slutty, completely animated and carefree and excited. Totally Tonks. When she got off the stage she kind of wandered the crowd for a second in a crazed daze until someone showed her the right way.

This past weekend I attended Collectormania 13 in Milton Keynes, England, where, amongst others, Natalia Tena (Tonks) was present. She told me about her role in Half-Blood Prince & her reaction to Deathly Hallows.
The only scene Natalia has filmed for the movie, isn’t actually in the book at all. She was only on set for the part where Death Eaters attack the Burrow at Christmas (where Harry & the Weasleys are present). She said that none of the angst of her character is there - indeed, she and Lupin are just suddenly a couple when they meet there.
In regards to Deathly Hallows, she said she was disappointed to see that they got married, due to her own personal preference towards the institution. So she doesn’t want a big wedding scene (which some fans think may happen, given the exclusion of Bill Weasley & Fleur Delacour from Half-Blood Prince). But she did say that she would love to have to ride a broom with a pregnant belly.
This was Natalia’s first ever convention and hopefully not her last. She was a true character in every sense of the word.
I shall scan my autograph (which she decided to do multi-coloured, with shapes) and upload pictures as soon as possible.

Also, more fan replies have been added to the gallery.|Natalia Tena, who played the Auror Nymphadora Tonks in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix spoke today with the Swindon Advertiser about her role in Harry Potter.
“The flying stuff was so cool,” she admitted. “We are wrapped in green skin stuff and have this pole attachment. They take a plaster cast of your bum so you get a proper seat on the broomstick. I love heights and these hot men [the technicians] blow air at me to make me look sexy - it was amazing.”
She admits that the set, whilst wonderful, was a bit slow at times.
“There was a lot of waiting around, and I am not good at that.”
The actress also speaks of her upcoming role as Matilde in the play The Clean House at Bath.
“She is a sweet and generous person, but I kept thinking she was going to break through with laughter,” said Natalia of her co-star, Patricia Hodge.
“It is amazing and I am loving it, but on Saturday night I had stage fright for the first time,” she said. “I nearly freaked out and thought I might run, but I took some Kalms and went on.”

She plays Matilde, a rather reluctant maid who hates cleaning and would rather spend her time hunting for the perfect joke. She was very funny, a hard thing to pull off when half the time she was telling jokes in a different language and to my very English ears had an amazing Brazilian accent.
The play as a whole is very moving and really funny so if you get a chance go and see it, it’s at the Royal until the 16th and then moves on to Malvern I think on the 25th.”

The new release date for the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix DVD has been set to December 11, 2007 Their will be plenty of special features, and for those of you that thought Tonks wasn’t shown off enough, a feature all-for her called Trailing Tonks - “in which you spend a day with actress Nat Tena and receive a very personal and often wacky tour of the ‘Order of the Phoenix’ stages”!!

July 31, 2007 - Lesson 21, Restricted Section
The Resume section has been updated on Natalia’s most latest movie, “Lesson 21″ (not Level 21), as it was previously labeled. According to Wikipedia, it is an Italian film (but English spoken) to be released in 2008, “The film is set in 1824, 1997 and 2007 and tells the tale of a Professor (John Hurt) delivering a lecture about a musician (Noah Taylor) coming to a remote village in the mountains to better understand Beethoven’s 9th symphony before he dies .”

July 12, 2007 - Interviews Galore
So I saw HP last night. You see Nat very early on in the movie as well as at the very breifly at the end. She really lights up the screen when she is shown however (and not just because her hair is so bright)! But I’m sure I’m not the only one who felt that we would rather watch a story about Tonks than Harry.
I have to say, Evanna Lynch has gotten a lot of credit for being absolutely perfect as Luna, and she definately is, but Natalia really was an absolutely perfect choice for Tonks as well. Altogether the movie is just excellent, Nat’s presence adding a much needed break from all the emotional intensity involved!
If you were unhappy with Natalia’s limited screen time too, be sure to fill out Amanda’s online petition for more screen time in Half-Blood Prince for Tonks and Bellatrix here.
Their are finally some PROPER interviews with Nat! Thanks to Spanish fan Ana, who reported us about her appearance on a Spanish telivision news program. She talks in Spanish too, which, according to Ana is “perfect”. The first real reviews for Order of the Phoenix have been popping up. I’ve added Nat’s mentionts to the Reviews section under Media. Overall critics liked her, one calling her sexy but overall upset at her minimum screen time.

Thanks to CoolFotoDudes, who took a ton of photos of Nat signing autographs at the London HP5 premiere. She seems to be escorted by her boyfriend and close friends, and how she manages to have a smoke doing that all at once is beyond me!
